NL Monthly Favourites: April

Working in the beauty industry, it’s almost impossible to stick to the same skincare products and cosmetics that we use religiously, and repurchase again and again. So many new and exciting palettes, powders, primers and potions are released on an almost daily basis, and when our social feeds are brimming with glowing reviews, who can resist a payday treat?!

We asked three members of our Nouveau Lashes team to share the three products they are loving this month. (And trust us, it was tough choosing just three!)

Carita Lagoon Cream

The rich formula of the Lagoon cream makes it feel so luxurious on my skin. As well as hydrating my skin, it smells beautiful- really ‘clean’ and fresh. It also prevents ageing and whenever I use it, I feel like my skin is glowing!

Aussie Dry Shampoo

As far as dry shampoo goes, it smells really good! The product is perfect for me as a brunette, as it doesn’t leave a white mark where I have applied it on my roots, and it lasts for ages!

Nouveau Lashes Volume 3 Strip Lashes

I love the Volume/3 strip lashes as the give an amazing open eye look, perfect for wearing during the day. When they are applied correctly (using tweezers and trimming down to fit the eye) they look exactly like eyelash extensions. I get loads of wear out of each pair, so they are amazing value for money too.

Nouveau Lashes Volume 4

Volume Style 4 are perfect for someone like me who has almost none existent natural lashes. They look natural but add instant impact and eye shape definition.  Although I don’t usually wear lashes during the day, Volume 4 look subtle with nude eye shadows and totally passable as day wear.

Benefit – Fakeup Concealer

After a long week and wearing ski masks to work is not an option, a decent concealer for my dark eye circles is like, essential! I’ve tried a fair few but due to the fab combination skin and semi-transparent tone inherited from the parents, I’ve struggled to find one that didn’t leave me looking about 20 years older than I am. The search for a concealer that didn’t settle into the creases around my eyes almost instantly was an endless battle until this little beauty ended up in my Christmas stocking this year. Coverage is great so you don’t have to plaster it on or have it gather in fine lines, it lasts and it’s not crazy expensive.

MAC Mineralise Highlighter in Lightscapade

If I was on a desert island and already had Tom Hardy and a gin and tonic and could request anything, this would be it! The highlighter shade looks awesome over a tan or on the pastier dull days when your features need a little lift and you don’t want to wear heavy make-up. It’s my must have finishing touch to contouring and makes your face look healthy and radiant even if you’re not feeling it. #Ifyoucantfeelitfakeit ;)

Lab Series Power Pore Anti-Shine & Pore Treatment

This product is a game changer for someone like me, who has a combination skin type. I can comfortably leave the house for the next 24 hours without worrying about a shiny face, making this product my Holy Grail for keeping my oily appearance and acne flare-ups at bay.

Kiehl’s Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate

I like having a natural appearance, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t want to stand out for the right reasons. Kiehl’s Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate gives my skin a glowing radiance, with a visibly more refined skin tone and texture. Simple changes to my skincare routine dramatically improve my overall appearance.

Team LVL!

In recent years, and more so in 2017, the rules for men’s beauty have gone out of the window. Even though I’m someone who prefers a natural look, there’s nothing wrong with enhancing certain features to make a bigger impact. With LVL Enhance I can keep my appearance looking natural, but I know my eye area has more of an effect and it can last up to 6-8 weeks without raising any suspicion.
